Speech Pathologist's in the Children’s Day Program are creative, energetic, career oriented teaching professionals who are motivated to educate individuals with developmental disabilities in an ungraded classroom setting. Speech Pathologist's are offered on-going trainings and support provided by board certified behavior analysts and other qualified professionals to enhance and maximize career growth. Our school programs operate on a 12 month calendar and include 9 weeks of scheduled vacation during the year. Pay: $54.92/hour

Qualifications:  

  • Master’s Degree in Speech/Language Pathology 
  • NYSED licensure in Speech/Language Pathology 
  • TSHH/TSSLD certification 
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills 

 Responsibilities:  

  • Provide speech/language therapy according to the mandated paperwork (i.e., IEP’s, IFSP etc.) 
  • Provide required documentation for services in alignment with protocols of the Children’s Day Program. 
  • Complete required documentation for services as outlined by Federal, State and County Regulations. 
  • Maintain documentation in a professional, efficient, accountable, and confidential manner. 

 Essential Physical Demands: 

  • Must be able to modify the area to secure the safety of the children i.e., move/push tables and other heavy objects up to 20 lbs. 
  • Must be able to lift/move 20 lbs. (mats) 
  • Must be able to run after student up to 500 feet 
  • Must be able to run to a classroom in need up to 500 feet 
  • Must be able to kneel, twist and bend 
  • Must be able to respond to fire alarms
