Responsibilities
- Provide oversight of all ADS micro-business activities and operations.
- Develop an overall business plan that captures and brings together all the microbusinesses that ADS operates under one brand and develop a physical storefront and online marketplace to promote sales.
- Promoting the company’s existing brands and introducing new products to the market.
- Researching and developing marketing opportunities and plans, understanding consumer requirements, identifying market trends, and suggesting system improvements to achieve the company’s marketing goals.
- Collaborate with the agency’s Director of Communications and Government Relations for marketing and branding of Developmental Disabilities Institute store and implementing creative and catchy new sales plans and advertising.
- Interface with programs to identify pre-vocational business activities to support the micro-businesses in ADS and collaborate with program administrators to develop training programs for the people we support.
- Provide analytics on all business activities to identify sales and forecast future opportunities and have the ability to collect and analyze key performance indicators of the business.
- Manage online-based businesses, including the day-to-day management of projects, operations and metrics.
- Supervise, train and assist employees like Sales Representatives and Retail Store Clerks in customer service, store maintenance and product promotions.
- Develop and maintain a schedule for employees and promotions centered on holiday sales and other cycles.
- Seek ways to better promote the store, the product line and service within the store.
- Maintain proper inventory levels, ensure stocking, implement purchasing plans and maintain contact with suppliers to ensure maximum efficiency in meeting sales goals.
- Implement cross training of employees to maintain productivity at all times.
- Manage all controllable costs with a view to maintaining profitability.
- Ensure the store remains clean and presentable at all times.
- Hire and train as needed to ensure adequate personnel is on hand to provide outstanding customer service.
- Other duties as assigned.
Essential Physical Demands
- Must be able to lift/move up to 20 lbs. (mats)
- Must be able to kneel, twist and bend.
- Must be able to respond to fire alarms.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Proactive in-store planning skills
- Excellent organization, communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- Understanding and knowledge of sales and marketing.
- Ability to operate basic business software programs
- Knowledge of business accounting principles and pricing research/comparison
- Knowledge of data analysis and report writing.
