Description
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develops and manages the budget for the IT department.
- Interfacing with other departments in planning, recommendations, assisting with needs, and implementing computer and telephone hardware/software systems and programs.
- Maintains the integrity of the gaming facility’s operational computer and telephone systems, including documentation of systems and procedures.
- Responsible for maintenance of access codes and other data-related security controls used to ensure authorized access to computers and the system-wide reliability of data.
- Responsible for computer tapes, disks, or other electronic storage media containing data relevant to gaming facility operations.
- Responsible for computer hardware, communications equipment, and software used in gaming facility operations.
- Review staffing levels to maintain budgeted employment, including interviewing and hiring candidates.
- Delegate authority and assign responsibilities to the IT department, including scheduling.
- Developing and evaluating team members within the IT department regarding job performance.
- Review IT activities with General Manager.
- Meets with departmental managers and directors as necessary.
STANDARDS OF PERFORMANCE
- Management abilities demonstrated in managing the IT department.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Willingness to assume overall responsibility relative to the performance of the IT department.
EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE
- Seven to ten years of experience in computers, networks, problem-solving software, and computer operations
- 4-year degree in a related field or equivalent work experience is preferred.
- Ability to obtain a valid Racing License
