Oliver's HOURS OF OPERATION
- Monday – Closed
- Tuesday – Closed
- Wednesday – 5PM to 10PM (Food Runner reports @ 3:00 pm-close)
- Thursday – 5PM to 10PM (Food Runner reports @ 3:00 pm-close)
- Friday – 5PM to 11PM (Food Runner reports @ 3:00 pm-close)
- Saturday – 5PM to 11PM (Food Runner reports @ 3:00 pm-close)
- Sunday – 5PM to 10PM (Food Runner reports @ 3:00 pm-close)
The Food Runner is responsible for the efficient flow of orders from the kitchen to the servers and/or guests. They set the pace and flow of the kitchen to ensure that all dishes are properly prepared and served at the correct temperatures. They also ensure that guests gets all their food at the same time, whenever possible and will suggest service recovery plans where applicable.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manages the flow of finished product from the kitchen to the guest
- Assist in organizing order tickets and proper placement of food on food trays
- Assist in delivering orders/running food to maintain prompt service to guests
- Addresses food/beverage or service related guest issues and utilize creativity and resources available to maintain optimum satisfaction
- Inspect the premises according to quality and sanitation standards and assist in overall cleanliness
- Transfer important information between the kitchen and the wait staff
- Eliminate obstacles in service, food preparation lines or dishwashing
- Support bussers/servers in their tasks as assigned
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor or department manager
STANDARDS OF PERFORMANCE
- Works on the floor 100% of the time with a “hands-on” mentality for guest service
- Maintain interpersonal working relationships among all Team Members and the public
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must be detail oriented, have a professional attitude, strong organizational and time management skills, and be customer-focused
- Outstanding coordination and multitasking abilities
- Ability to remain calm under stressful situations
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Self-motivated with attention to detail
- Strong analytical skills
- Knowledge of menu items and service as well as overall restaurant operations
- Available to work when needed, including weekends, holidays, and nights
EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE
- One to two years high volume at a Multi-unit operation
- High school diploma required.
- Able to obtain and maintain a valid Kentucky gaming/racing license
