Description
The primary objective of the Warehouse Associate-Cherry Picker Operator is to ensure the proper pulling of pallets, cases, and individual units for customer orders in a safe and efficient manner. Job descriptions are subject to change with the demands of the business.:
Essential Functions:
Pulling Orders
- Pull orders according to specifications utilizing paper documents, RF scanners and specialized lift equipment as required.
- Put away merchandise
- Pick orders according to customers’ specifications.
- Pack orders for shipment ensuring correct items are in the containers.
- Utilize a number of techniques that will ensure an efficient process of work orders
General:
- Perform all duties as requested by management in a safe, efficient and productive manner.
- Trained and able to perform all functions of the job.
- Assist in cycle counting as needed
- Follow all safety policies and procedures.
- Know and understand the policies and procedures of Delta Apparel.
- Trained and able to operate all machinery related to performing the functions of the job (i.e., forklift, pallet jack, cherry picker, scanner etc.)
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements: | 1. Lifting and carrying up to 55 lbs. 2. Constant visual and hearing attention. 3. Proper footwear (non-skid soles) not open toe or back. 4. Basic mathematics skills. 5. Basic verbal and written communication skills with ability to read and write English. 6. Work within a team of people performing different and/or the same tasks. 7. Work overtime as assigned. 8. Sense of safety awareness. |
