Description
Position Summary: Assists the Director to meet the objectives and goals of the department including providing support for audit projects surrounding HIPAA compliance, RACS, E&M Billing and coding, etc and assist in the preparation of education tracking, Annual Reports, Conflict of Interest. Clerical-based responsibilities would be expected on a daily basis.
Experience:
3 to 5 years in Claims / Auditing
Basic knowledge of Corporate Compliance and Privacy Rules and Regulations
Education:
Required: High School/G.E.D. (if candidate does not hold any of the 4 related certifications or is currently CCS or CCS-P certified.
Preferred: Associate’s Degree or higher (candidates with RHIT certification)
Licenses/Credentials/Certifications:
Noncertified Candidate/Employee: Must obtain CCS or CCS-P certification within 1 year of hire or obtain RHIT or RHIA certification within 2 years of hire.
CCS or CCS-P Certified Candidate/Employee: Must obtain RHIT certification within 2 years of hire.
RHIT Certified Candidate/Employee: All certification requirements are met.
Skills
Required: Typing (50wpm), proficient with spreadsheets and database applications.
Preferred: Super-user knowledge of Claim Audit tracking system.
Bi-Weekly Hours: 80
