What You’ll Do

  • Act as the liaison to departments about virtual learning strategies, use of learning technologies to meet department goals, content development, and measurement of virtual and blended learning
  • Recommend best training practices
  • Develop courses for effective learning experiences and for online interactive learning. Courses can be micro-learning or bundled to create curriculum paths
  • Participate in Support Services initiatives to determine how learning technology can be utilized to meet department objectives, encourage greater utilization of relevant DCU courses
  • Ensure communication among stakeholders for effective planning and execution of all learning modules
  • Participate in objectives that may change internal processes (system/procedure/compliance changes) that may require formal training to be developed or existing training changed
  • Monitor and troubleshoot employee issues related to the learning management system, respond to eLearning training questions/issues in a manner that meets DCU service standards.
  • Collaborate with users and vendors to meet ongoing needs for custom reports. Will act as a report content expert and support the learning needs of users to define the specific information needed.  Responsible for Support Services-wide reporting related to learning statistics.
  • Learning management system administration including publish content, design and run reports, system management, troubleshoot, and attend meetings for departments of oversight.
  • Collaborate with department managers to regularly review existing training to ensure accurate content.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor and Support Services management.

What You’ll Need

  • BA degree in Instructional Design, Education, Organization Development or a relevant field preferred
  • 2-3 years of experience in a Learning and Development role, instructional designer or equivalent
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Proficiency in eLearning development software and tools (such as Adobe Captivate, Articulate 360, Articulate Rise and TechSmith Camtasia)
  • Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Ability to present topics in an understandable way, utilizing adult learning principles
  • Extensive knowledge of DCU products and services
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to manager multiple priorities and work independently
  • Ability to provide work portfolio during the application process preferred.
