We are seeking a Director, Finance to lead the FP&A team within the Home National Team (HNT), which, along with our operating partners in the field, has P&L responsibility for the nearly $2 billion revenue home dialysis business across the U.S.
DaVita has been investing significantly in a differentiated offering for the last decade+ and is uniquely positioned to continue to lead the way in the space. As a result, peritoneal dialysis (PD) and home hemodialysis (HHD) together have been growing significantly faster than the core in-center dialysis business. This continues to be one of our top strategic priorities because
- We believe that dialyzing at home provides important clinical benefits for patients, in addition to improved quality of life and
- In 2019, CMS announced its intention to significantly increase the utilization of a home modality or transplant and has established several pilots and programs to incentive this growth.
RESPONSIBILITIES Include
The following duties and responsibilities generally reflect the expectations of this position but are not intended to be all inclusive.
Financial Planning & Analysis
- Annual budgeting for field operations and related financial management
- Monthly reporting of variances to budget as well as investigations into underlying causes and development of potential options to remedy
- Long-range strategic planning in partnership with Corporate Finance & Corporate Strategy teams
- G&A management for HNT
Ad hoc analyses
- Act as financial thought leader to HNT leadership by developing business case/ROI, tracking performance of various initiatives, and shaping outcomes
- Work with project teams to provide financial decision support
- Support contract negotiations for our primary suppliers of home medical supplies in conjunction with our enterprise procurement team
- Craft ad hoc analyses for senior management
Team Leadership
- Accountable for up to 4 teammates at the analyst and manager levels, based on experience level
- Help build the culture within the Home Finance team
- Attracting, developing, and retaining talent
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree is required
- Minimum 8 years of work experience in corporate FP&A, corporate strategy, investment banking, management consulting, and/or other comparable field
- Intermediate to advanced experience with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience working with large datasets required; prefer experience working with Hyperion Essbase, SQL, Anaplan, but not required
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned, including but not limited to:
- Attend team meetings, video conferences, and training as needed
- Know, understand, and follow teammate guidelines, employment policies, and department or company procedures
- Travel required: up to 10%
