Build a team allowing the success of the project.
Knowledge of basic cement chemistry and hydration mechanisms, testing of cement, mortar and concrete, concrete designs, as well as placement of concrete using various delivery methods.
Knowledge of basic characterization methods is necessary (X-ray Diffraction, calorimetry, etc.) and cement and concrete testing protocols (ASTM and ACI).
U.S. citizenship is required
Ph.D. in Materials Science, Materials Engineering, Civil Engineering, or other equivalent Engineering/Science degrees.
Excellent verbal and technical writing skills
Ability to lift 50 pounds
A specialization in calcium aluminate, calcium sulfoaluminate and/or heat-resistance concrete is preferred.
Good communication skills, a proactive attitude, organizational skills the ability to travel up to 25% are required.
Familiarity working with ASTM, ACI, AASHTO, or other similar standards
Experience working with cement, mortar, or concrete
Experience with fire resistance, mechanical testing equipment and tools associated with mortars and concretes
