As we expand into Illinois, we are seeking a motivated and experienced Commercial Loan Officer to join our New Lenox team.

Job Duties

  • Responsible for managing and growing the commercial loan portfolio by providing expert guidance and support to our business members
  • Develop and maintain relationships with business members and potential business members, analyzing their financial needs and providing tailored commercial lending solutions
  • Develop a high-quality loan portfolio according to credit union policies, and monitor portfolio performance, identify potential risks, and proactively address any concerns
  • Evaluate loan applications, financial statements, credit reports, and other relevant information to assess creditworthiness and determine loan eligibility
  • Manages and collects assigned commercial loan portfolios and works with any member having financial difficulty or problems making regular payments

Qualifications

  • Have a Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, finance, or similar field or equivalent experience
  • Have a minimum 2 years’ business lending experience
  • Have a strong understanding of commercial lending principles, credit analysis, loan structuring, underwriting, and accounting concepts and how to apply them to financial statement analysis
  • Have a valid driver's license as some travel is required
  • Are proficient with Windows and Microsoft Office software, and various lending software packages
  • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work in direct, professional contact with a wide variety of people
