About the Opportunity

Works directly with end users to train, support, and implement an EMR Clinical System in an Ambulatory Surgery Center environment.  Focuses on initial training as part of system implementation and follow up training for new process and additional functionality.  Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and be extremely customer service oriented. Enjoys learning new things and solving problems in a fast paced healthcare environment. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  1. Training clinical staff on an EMR Clinical System.
  2. Work with clinical staff and physicians to implement an EMR system.
  3. Maintain and update training materials as needed to aid in the educational process.
  4. Analyzing computer information systems and identifying areas for improvement.
  5. Educate users related to hardware, software, systems and processes.
  6. Communicate with vendors on system enhancements.
  7. Participate in system upgrades and enhancements – testing, communications, etc.
  8. Track, prioritize, document, and resolve requests using a Support Desk ticket system.
  9. Perform on site hardware, software and infrastructure assessments and support. (approximately 50% - 75% travel)

Education & Experience

  1. High school education or equivalent is required
  2. Experience working in the healthcare / medical field is required
  3. Five (5) years experience with system implementations and/or training is strongly preferred
  4. Systems experience and/or clinical experience in an Ambulatory Surgery Center a plus
