About the Opportunity

Under the direction of the Center Manager, the Physician and RN, the Medical Assistant (MA), assists with pre-operation procedures and patient care. Additionally, the MA is responsible for assisting the Physician with cleaning and processing of scopes, accessories and instruments.

Duties and Responsibilities Include:

• Collect, verify and file patient information.
• Explain medical procedures to patients.
• Cleans and disinfects flexible endoscopes and accessories according to center’s policies and procedures and manufacturer’s guidelines while verifying that all essential equipment is functioning properly.
• Preparing operating rooms prior to procedure.
• Follow safety guidelines set forth by the center's policies.
• Prepare patients for surgical procedures.
• Performs other duties as requested or assigned.
