We are hiring a General Manager for our modern Asian restaurant located in the Charlotte, NC area, that features a sushi and an Oyster bar, A5 Miyazaki Wagyu, Hyper Fresh Seafood, and an extensive menu of Modern Asian Cuisine. The restaurant has Spectrum Dining, a fully immersive 5D projection room, 3,000 square feet of outdoor dining and lounge, as well as extensive wine and Sake offerings with classic and featured craft cocktails.
As the General Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a business strategy that is aligned with the property and the brand. This will entail developing budgets, monitoring financial performance, driving topline revenue to ensure revenue targets are met, and overseeing financial aspects of the restaurant, which includes purchasing, prevention & loss, accounts payable and payroll.
Hiring, training, coaching, and communicating with team members will be crucial. Identifying top talent, who have a passion to be the best and who want to serve others will be key. Getting to know your team, what motivates them, how to effectively communicate to and with them, will allow you to be successful. During high demand times, assisting team members on the floor, behind the bar, providing excellent customer service to your team members will be expected. By creating a learning atmosphere of continuous improvement, you will be able to enhance the restaurant culture and provide growth opportunities and advancement for team members.
Developing relationships within the community, meeting with guests informally to gather feedback on food & beverage quality, service, and overall guest satisfaction, will allow you to manage your business more effectively. You will create and execute exciting events programs using key social media platforms, and you will partner with internal and external PR to position the restaurant successfully within the community and as a restaurant destination.
