Community Options, Inc. is a national non-profit agency providing services to individuals with disabilities in 12 states.

We are seeking an experienced Intake Coordinator in Las Cruces, NM. The Intake Coordinator is the point person responsible for the overall coordination and facilitation of program admissions.  A non-exempt position responsible for the admission processes of new individuals and all functions keeping existing individuals current and in good standing. 

 

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all three regions in NM (Santa Fe, Las Cruces, Albuquerque)
  • Become the point person for all admissions into our program.
  • Assure service authorizations in Therap are created and maintained to avoid loss of services and payments
  • Gathers necessary documents for all new admissions
  • Attends pre-placement meeting for all new admissions to ensure all necessary documents are collected prior to an admission
  • Enroll/Admit all individuals into Therap
  • Assure new residents and amendments to services are updated and/or entered in Therap
  • Works Collaboratively with billing department and regional offices for troubleshooting issues impacting billing and cash flow
  • Generate Billing data from Therap to billing specialist, when necessary
  • Other duties as assigned by the Intake Supervisor

 

Educational and Work Experience

  • Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of local and regional regulatory operations
  • Knowledge and understanding of state regulations (LIDDA – Local Intellectual and Developmental disability Authorities)
  • Understanding and commitment to community-based support for persons with disabilities
  • Experience with intake and admissions
  • Experience with TMHP (Texas Medicaid & Healthcare Partnership)
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Familiarity with Social Security and Medicaid
  • Working Knowledge of ICD-10 codes
  • Therap experience is a plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Bachelor or Associates Degree preferred

 Working Conditions

  • May be required to be on-call in cooperation with other management staff
  • Moderate overtime required throughout the year
  • Minimal hazards, general office working conditions
  • Valid Drivers License with good driving record
