This is a part time (0.4 - 0.6 Status) day shift Patient Care Tech position in the RNU department.

The Patient Care Tech works as an integral part of the patient care team providing routine administrative and clerical duties at and around the nursing station, providing prompt and courteous service to patients, families, physicians, staff and public alike. Helps to monitor and facilitate activities at the nursing station and performs tasks necessary to maintain proper flow of patient care and related documentation.

Minimum Required: High school graduate or equivalent required. Must successfully complete PCT training during the first month of employment. Must obtain BLS Healthcare Provider upon hire. Must have experience in administrative support and or receptionist duties. Demonstrated ability to multitask in a stressful environment. Must have basic computer proficiency, ability to use a multi-line phone system.  Performs phlebotomy tasks as needed.  Must be proficient in English, verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred/Desired: Preferred Medical Clerical experience and Medical Terminology. Prefer proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, health care patient records/scheduling/billing/order systems, and/or an electronic health record system.

Weekend Requirements: Every third weekend.
