Key Responsibilities
·Collect statistical data from production, payroll, and other systems to analyze product costs and inventory values
·Help develop tools to allocate costs (labor, depreciation, G&A) to finished goods inventory
·Allocate various direct and indirect costs to inventory items
·Perform regular volume, rate, and mix variance analysis
·Analyze actual manufacturing costs and preparing periodic reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs
·Reconcile production system to accounting system
·Track changes in cost of raw materials and processes
·Making estimates of new and proposed product costs
·Help develop and implement cost accounting practices and controls
·Receive, verify, code, and post AP transactions
·Assist in Month end and Year end close of the General Ledger
·Review proposed inventory adjustments
·Conduct physical inventories and monitor cycle count program
·Reconcile finished goods inventories
· Reports to Accounting Manager
