College & Career Readiness is a grant funded program.Positions are contingent upon continued grant funding.

The College & Career Readiness (CCR) Intake/Test Proctor provides customer service and information to internal and external clients about the College & Career Readiness program, such as adult education, English language acquisition, Integrated English Literacy and Civics Education, and GED® prep classes. Additionally, this person is responsible for administering and interpreting program assessments, at the CSI campus in Twin Falls and all outlying program sites. The position is for evening hours only and travel to off campus sites is required.This position is NOT affiliated with the CSI Campus Testing Center.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Provide initial information regarding admittance into the CCR/ABE program
  • Schedule and administer program assessments – both paper and web-based
  • Perform required travel to off-campus sites for testing and intake duties during evening hours
  • Conduct student orientations, consisting of public presentations to groups of 20 people or less.
  • Advise students on assessment results and class placement.
  • Assist students in accurately completing necessary forms
  • Be familiar with program curriculum, class options, and academic calendar
  • Maintain hard-copy and digital student files
  • Track student post-testing needs, according to state policy
  • Communicate in a clear, concise, courteous, and professional manner, frequently including with individuals who have limited English proficiency
  • Participate in regular, required professional development

SPECIFIC SKILLS PREFERRED/REQUIRED

  • Possess excellent customer service skills
  • Possess strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a highly fluid environment, while maintaining good working relationships
  • Ability to manage conflict in a courteous and professional manner
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality in all student matters
  • Possess excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Bi-lingual (Spanish) desired

TECHNICAL EXPERTISE REQUIRED

  • Understand and efficiently navigate frequently used testing applications
  • Acquire and maintain certification to administer program assessments
  • Manage multiple personal logins and passwords
  • Have a basic knowledge of computers and Microsoft suite of programs
  • Have sufficient computer competency to troubleshoot technological problems

EDUCATION / TRAINING PREFERRED/REQUIRED

  • Associate degree required
  • Background in education, teaching, counseling, and/or testing, or demonstrated experience in an educational/advisory setting, preferred

WORK SCHEDULE AND CONDITIONS

  • Part time, evenings:
  • 16 hours per week, not to exceed 19.5 hours per week.
  • Evening hours: Monday – Thursday 4:30 pm to 8:30 pm, or later when traveling to off-campus sites; Frequent year-round evening travel to off-campus sites is required
  • Some Saturdays required for training purposes.
