Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic, innovative, and quality-oriented individual to join our team as a Senior Electrical Engineer with 12 or more years of engineering and project management experience. Candidate will apply engineering and management skills to a variety of diverse and challenging projects. Qualified candidates will have project management experience in engineering projects with the ability to plan, organize, direct, market, and supervise project activities.  The ideal candidate should have a desire to work and grow as a team player within a multi-discipline engineering firm.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Approximate Base Salary – $105,000.00 - $130,000.00 based on experience.
  • Potential signing bonus based on experience.
  • Paid overtime at 1.0 times hourly rate.
  • Competitive end of year discretionary bonus based on company/team/personal performance.
  • Hybrid Work Schedule (subject to change).
  • 401k with maximum of 5% Contribution Matching for 9% Employee Contribution.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Perform project management duties for various MEP design projects.
  • Prepare design tasks assigned by department manager.
  • Perform complete construction documents, including drawings, power system studies, and specifications.
  • Perform and supervise the execution of designs, including medium and low voltage AC, DC, single line diagrams, electrical plans, and equipment layout.
  • Perform and supervise the execution of both interior and exterior lighting design and calculate footcandle to ensure lighting design meets IESNA requirements.
  • Participate in meetings with clients and provide engineering support through design and construction phases including responding to AHJ comments, shop drawing review, and responding to RFI’s.
  • Review of deliverables, including QA/QC through design and construction.
  • Serve as a technical resource to internal staff.
  • Able to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment (or demonstrate ability to develop such abilities).
  • Possess strong critical thinking, organizational, and analytical abilities (or demonstrate ability to develop such abilities).
  • Positive contributor to overall office and department goals, culture, and morale.

Qualifications

  • BS in Electrical Power engineering or related field
  • PE license in Electrical Engineering required (licensed for at least 3 years preferred)
  • Minimum 12 years experience in electrical design
    • Minimum 10 years of AEC consulting electrical engineering experience
  • Experience with AutoCAD
  • Knowledge of Title-24 Part 6 California Energy Conservation Code
  • Excellent leadership, supervisory, and writing and verbal communication skills
  • Project Management experience is required
  • Must have experience in supervising, estimating, and negotiating contracts
  • Must be able to supervise and manage projects of varying sizes

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with REVIT
  • Experience with multi-family, commercial, institutional, and higher education projects
  • Experience with SKM and/or ETAP programs
  • Experience with PVsyst software
  • Experience with OSHPD/HCAi
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and Adobe/Bluebeam software.
  • Strong problem-solving skills

Expected Salary Range: $105,000.00 - $130,000.00.
