What we are looking for:

As a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic, CNS Healthcare's mission is to serve the people of our communities.

The Children’s Community-based Clinician uses therapeutic techniques to assist youth, adolescents, and young adults in therapy with managing their mental health and emotional well-being in outpatient and community-based settings. The Children’s Community-based Clinician assists persons served with increasing independence and learning empowering life skills, as well as link to supports and resources.  The Children’s Community-based Clinician works collaboratively with other clinical and ancillary programs to help facilitate the recovery process.

Please note: As a community-based role, this position will render at least 80% of services in the beneficiary's home or other agreed-upon community-based location.

Compensation Range:

The starting pay for this position is $47,600 - $56,000 for limited licensed candidates, and $51,850 - $61,000 annual salary for fully licensed candidates, and is based on non-discriminatory factors such as skills and experience.

  • Provide thorough and complete integrated biopsychosocial assessment, at intake and annually, to assess person served history and identify treatment needs using a trauma-informed approach.
  • Develops a person-centered plan with each assigned person served to identify needs and interventions to meet those needs and reviews plan at stated levels.
  • Provides individual therapy, family therapy, group therapy, and case management services utilizing evidence-based practices.
  • Conduct visits with assigned person served in the community or office in alignment with the individual plan of service (IPOS) to ensure level of care is adequate to the needs of the client.
  • Obtain and maintain PECFAS, CAFAS, and/or LOCUS rater-reliability and conduct assessments as clinically appropriate.
  • Connect families to community resources and provide education on how to access and utilize supports independently.
  • Focuses on improving functional skills in the areas of education, employment, social supports, wellness, self-management, and residential stability.
  • Participate in on-call coverage to ensure access to services during non-standard hours of operation.
  • Provide crisis intervention when needed. Completion of lethality risk assessments as indicated (e.g. suicide/homicide/potential for violence/substance use) with dispositions and recommendations that are included in IPOS.
  • Required to meet direct service productivity standards, complete documentation, and maintain appropriate utilization review scores in alignment with agency and program expectations.
  • Provide transportation to individuals served as needed.
  • Maintain compliance with quality care initiatives including Meaningful Use (MU), Medicare Merit-Based Incentive Payment System (MIPS), Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF), and Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) requirements.
  • Ensure that the CNS Healthcare standards of service are applied to interactions with individuals served, guests, and staff.
  • Assume responsibility for professional growth by current reading and attendance at educational programs and conferences.
  • Maintain knowledge and compliance with established policies and procedures, corporate compliance program, code of ethics, applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations, HIPAA standards, and other regulatory programs.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

 Qualifications:

Required

  • Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or Marriage and Family Therapy
  • State licensure: Limited-Licensed Master’s Social Worker (LLMSW), Licensed Master’s Social Worker (LMSW), Limited-Licensed Professional Counselor (LLPC), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Limited-Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LLMFT), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), OR Limited-Licensed Psychologist (LLP)
  • Possess or obtain Child Mental Health (CMHP) designation within 90 days of hire, and then maintain it throughout employment.
  • At least one year of experience in the examination, evaluation, and treatment of minors and their families, which can include internship or field placement experience.
  • Proficient with computers and Microsoft office products
  • Proficient in the use of electronic health records (EHRs)
  • Ability to work closely with persons with mental or physical limitations
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively and build positive working relationships
  • Knowledge and experience with interventions used to treat psychiatric, substance use, intellectual, and developmental disabilities, and diagnoses.
  • Ability to use discretion and judgment when handling matters of a sensitive or confidential nature
  • Ability to contribute to an inclusive environment that recognizes the value and contributions of all persons regardless of race, ethnicity, national origin, gender, religion, age, marital status, sexual orientation, gender identity, or disability

Preferred

  • Qualified Intellectual Disability Professional (QIDP) designation
  • Prior experience working with all age groups including children; solution-focused brief therapy; substance use and co-occurring disorders treatment; stages of change and/or motivational interviewing.
  • Prior experience in a community mental health setting.
  • One year of clinical experience in individual and group psychotherapy under clinical supervision.
  • One year of master-level experience in the examination, evaluation, and evaluation of children with severe emotional disturbances and/or persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
