As a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic, CNS Healthcare's mission is to serve the people of our communities. The Programs Administrative Assistant I provides direct administrative support to an Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) team within the Programs Department.
Compensation Range:
The starting pay for this position is $14.88 - $17.50 hourly rate, and is based on non-discriminatory factors such as skills and experience.

- Provide direct administrative support to the assigned Team Supervisor.
- Assist in the coordination and monitoring of schedules, calendars regarding meetings, and other related scheduling responsibilities.
- Prepare agendas, record, and transcribe minutes for assigned meetings and committees.
- Prepare various letters, correspondence, reports, forms, spreadsheets, formal/informal presentations, and other documents as requested.
- Respond to general inquires concerning assigned team and departmental activities and operations by referring to established policies and procedures.
- Schedule appointments, including aftercare and other appointments as assigned, for individuals discharged from an inpatient facility, incarceration, other treatment agencies, and/or other service providers.
- Assist with room scheduling for various meetings and events.
- Receive and distribute daily faxes from the after-hours on-call service to designated Team Supervisors or other staff as appropriate.
- Establish and maintain electronic and necessary hard copies of formal reports and other documentation for reference and record keeping purposes.
- Documents information to records, logs, and/or other record keeping systems, maintaining documentation and established files as assigned.
- Participate in community events, conferences, professional organizations, as educational programs as assigned.
- Provide coverage for other administrative staff as assigned.
- Provide assistance during various credentialing and auditing site visits.
- Completes all required documentation completely, accurately, and in accordance with CNS policy.
- Fulfills mandatory education requirements of CNS including internal training and community education.
- Maintain compliance with quality care initiatives including Meaningful Use (MU), Medicare Merit Based Incentive Payment System (MIPS), Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF), and Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) requirements.
- Ensure that the CNS Healthcare standards of service are applied to interactions with individuals served, guests, and staff.
- Assume responsibility for professional growth by current reading and attendance at educational programs and conferences.
- Maintain knowledge and compliance with established policies and procedures, corporate compliance program, code of ethics, applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations, HIPAA standards, and other regulatory programs.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Required
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid and unrestricted Driver’s License
- Transportation or Automobile accessibility with current automobile/vehicle insurance meeting agency policy requirements
- Proficient with computers and working knowledge of Microsoft office products.
- Ability to operate standard office machines including photocopiers, fax machines, and video/teleconferencing equipment.
- Ability to type at least 50 words per minute (WPM)
- Ability to communicate effectively, professionally, and courteously
- Strong customer service, time management, and organization skills.
- Advanced collaboration and team working skills.
- Ability to analyze information, research issues, pay attention to detail, and meet deadlines
- Ability to format documents and use proper grammar, punctuation, and spell check.
- Ability to work closely with persons with mental or physical limitations.

- Ability to use discretion and judgmental when handling matters of a sensitive or confidential nature.
Preferred
- Associate degree training, or course work in secretarial studies
- Working knowledge of the mental health delivery system, terminology, and general understanding of mental health issues.
- Prior work or volunteer experience in a healthcare or mental health setting, including working with adults with severe and persistent mental illnesses.
- Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
