Job Responsibilites:
Datacenter Infrastructure
•Provides assistance with implementation & support of all datacenter functions including servers (physical and virtual), storage & archiving, networking, Exchange, mobility, & system backups and replication.
•Provides technical guidance to project teams as appropriate.
•Helps to evaluate new products, maintains knowledge of emerging technologies for application to the enterprise. Provides technical consulting to management that may result in the selection, installation and support of enterprise-wide systems.
•Evaluates technology options to ensure selected solutions are cost effective & produce recognizable return on investment.
•Participates in enterprise-wide disaster recovery planning & implementation. Ensures plan is communicated to appropriate personnel.
•Assists with preparation of annual estimate for AFE of datacenter equipment & strategic planning.
•Provides appropriate levels of support for all aligned functions, per the IT Accountability matrix. Assists plant IT with data center & networking needs as required.
•Install & configure all CISCO and networking equipment. Maintain routing, vlans & wireless network environment including wireless handhelds.
•Install & maintain server software.
•Install and configure backup equipment and Commvault Software.
•Backup and Restore network configurations.
•Perform full system restoration of servers in the event of hardware/software failures.
•Support all software products installed on Servers.
•Develop software packages for Servers & Workstations.
•Train Systems Administrator to receive, setup, deliver, maintain, upgrade, & install desktop/laptop systems.
•Develop & maintain site Group Policies in Active Directory
•Prepare, revise & maintain procedures and topology & installation documentation
•On-call rotation, 24x7 availability when on-call.
•Off hours maintenance windows for upgrades/patches/installations.
Network Infrastructure
•Assists in network planning, design, and optimization. Approves and modifies network design and architecture to ensure compliance.
•Assists in strategies for network systems solutions using current and emerging technologies. Translates business requirements into network or process designs. Recommends network security procedures and policies.
•Participates in planning, recommending, implementing, and supporting network hardware, system management software and architecture.
•Monitors network performance, ensures capacity planning is performed, and is proactive in assessing and making recommendations for improvement. Monitors system logs to ensure proper functioning of network and security functions. Performs troubleshooting procedures and designs resolution scripts.
•Configures and maintains routers, switches, firewalls and remote access for the network systems.
•Actively participates as a project team member for large IT projects to provide a network perspective and ensure standards are followed.
•Assists with preparation of annual estimate for AFE of networking equipment.
•Provides assistance for the technical support team as it relates to LAN and WAN systems.
•Performs complex deployment or maintenance procedures as well as repair work on Local Area Networks (LANs), communications, and related hardware and software (e.g., switches and routers) within a multiple operating system environment (e.g., Desktop, Server, NOS). This includes NOS configuration and NOS maintenance.
•Assists security administrators by monitoring firewall logs and other various network security measures which safeguard the integrity of access to enterprise systems and data.
Internal Controls:
Understands and complies with established departmental processes and procedures designed to support internal controls efforts. Identifies and brings to the attention of department management internal controls deficiencies.
Successful incumbents will have:
•Bachelor’s Degree in Math or Computer Science or technical training equivalent and graduate-level coursework required
•Minimum of three plus years of server, network support and systems-level programming
•Experience with Commvault, Equilogics Storage Arrays, Symantec eVault, Mobile Iron, iNet/Yardmaster, VMWare, Exchange, Active Directory preferred
•Capable of troubleshooting all aspects of Local Area Network and Data Communications problems
•Server recovery experience
•Microsoft and Cisco TCP/IP networking skills including DHCP, DNS, addressing, subnets and WAN/LAN principles. WiFi troubleshooting, deployment & support.
•LANDesk Application Suite, Application packaging & deployment experience
•Ability to train Systems Administrator position
•Strong troubleshooting, problem solving, customer service and communication skills
•Ability to work well with others and contribute to a team environment
•Able to work on-call or outside of normal business hours when necessary
•Strong organizational and multitasking skills

Position Scope/Contribution:
The incumbent in this position has technical knowledge of network systems and operations and is able to provide support and maintenance of the network, systems, and communications infrastructure.
