Description of Assignment:
In support of the SSA electronic Bench Book application a JAVA developer is required to assist with the development of additional functionality. .
Staff resource skillsets should include:
- A minimum of 4 - 6* years knowledge and/or work experience with Java.
- J2EE technologies such as JSP and servlets (i.e., Java/WebSphere and RAD).
- J2EE framework such as Core Java, EJB, JDBC, JMS, Struts, DROOLS, etc.
- JavaScript, HTML, and SSL.
- SDLC (includes requirements engineering, requirements management, development and testing/validation, change management, configuration management).
- Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Microsoft Project.
- HP ALM.
- Experience with agile development methodologies
General Required Qualifications:
- Clear understanding of SSA’s systems development lifecycle (SDLC).
- The ability to support the software engineering lifecycle (requirements analysis, design alternatives, detailed program specifications, etc.), as document development may be required.
- Self-starter, highly motivated individuals and team players who adapt to a dynamic work environment.
- Ability to learn, apply, and explain new tools and technologies credibly.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communications skills.
Bachelor’s Degree or above preferred. More experience is required for non-degreed candidates.
