Senior Siebel Application Developer

StubHub is looking for a Senior Engineer to join our Customer Support Experience development team. This engineer works within a team developing StubHub’s next-generation Customer Support platform, integrating Siebel, with our telephony, eCommerce and Business Process Management portals. This position is for an experienced Siebel developer who’s looking for new technical challenges. You must be a team player and enjoy working as a key member of a team of developers. You will be responsible for coding, unit testing, designing, and mentoring junior engineers, participating in requirements analysis, writing technical specifications, and working with teams on testing and deployment. This is a hands-on coding and key Technology staff position. You will also participate in discussions and planning of best practices, tools selection, process, and overall engineering efforts. Prior development experience with Siebel Call Center and EIA technology is must.

Job Requirements:
• Demonstrated ability to provide advanced technical expertise in designing and developing software applications.
• Experience with accurately estimating development tasks as well as setting up plans for deliverables based on release deadlines and delivering consistently with minimal supervision.
• Experience maintaining and supporting software applications.
• Proven track record to identify and resolve complex application issues and bugs.
• In-depth know to review and/or write code to enhance and/or extend application.
• Providing subject matter expertise in reviewing, researching and resolving business problems presented in requirements specifications.
• Ability to test new installations and/or software prior to release to minimize failures and impact to business and end users, including developing and executing unit tests
• Ability to interact with business product managers to gather and clarify requirements.
• Ability to interact with Technical Project Managers and Development Managers to provide estimates and status against project plans.
• Ability to interact with QA to coordinate testing activities.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in technical discipline or equivalent work experience.
- 9+ years of relevant, Siebel development experience, preferably at a high-traffic, eCommerce / online company.
- 9+ years of strong hands-on design and development experience in Siebel technologies including Open UI, EIA, EIM, Inbound and outbound Web Services, VBC, Siebel eScript and Workflows, Siebel configuration.
- Experience with SOA concepts, frameworks and implementation
- Excellent understanding of application servers, multi-tier architectures, and all layers from presentation to persistence.
- Extremely strong knowledge in Siebel Data Model, creating DB extensions and corresponding DB extensions in Siebel.
- Excellent analytical, decision-making, interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills.
- Ability to mentor junior developers.
- Ability to work independently or collaboratively.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Software development life cycle knowledge.
- Detail oriented.

Top Requirements:
1. Very strong Siebel development experience with version 8.1.1.11
2. Must have experience designing and developing with Open UI
3. Experience with EIA, EIM, Inbound and outbound Web Services, VBC, Siebel eScript and Workflows, Siebel configuration

Preferred/Ideal:
Strong knowledge in Siebel Data Model, creating DB extensions and corresponding DB extensions in Siebel. Also working in an Agile/Scrum environment

Day to Day:
Developing enhancements and new features within Siebel. Interacting with other developers and members of the scrum team (QA, Product Manager, etc.).
