Information Developer Sr. - CURAM
The Specialist level Customer Service Information Developer is expected to apply advanced subject matter knowledge to:
• Solve complex business issues, and is regarded as a subject matter expert.
• Frequently contributes to the development of new ideas and methods.
• Works on complex problems/projects where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of multiple factors.
• Exercises significant independent judgment within broadly defined policies and practices to determine best method for accomplishing work and achieving objectives.
• Leads and provides expertise to functional project teams and may participate in cross functional initiatives.
• May provide mentoring and guidance to lower level employees.
• Acts as an expert providing direction and guidance to process improvements and establishing policies.
• Frequently represents the organization to external customers/clients.
The Education and Experience requirements of Svc Info Developer III are:
• First level University degree and 7 years’ experience
• At least 5 years’ experience in;
o Designing and developing solutions using the Curam platform
o Developing JEE solutions, including JEE design patterns
o Designing and developing solutions for Websphere Application Server and DB2/Oracle Architect or development experience using WebSphere Message Broker, WebSphere, InfoSphere Information Server, ETL
o Reporting tools e.g. Cognos/Oracel Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE)
o Developing Java applications in the Eclipse environment preferably on Rational Software Architect
Skills Required:
• Worked on MVC using standard J2EE frameworks
• Experience in developing JEE solutions, including JEE design patterns
• Delivering multiple, complex end-to-end business solutions
• Good understanding of Social Enterprise Management (SEM) and Curam Enterprise Framework
• Extensive technical knowledge in the following specialized areas of web application system analysis and programming: Java, J2SE, J2EE, XML, XSL, Eclipse, HTML, Cascading Style Sheets, and Web Services standards (SOAP and WSDL)
• Experience with IBM Websphere 7.X
• Experience with Oracle, and Subversion
• Extensive working experience in developing in an tiered application/web-based object oriented environment using J2EE, JDBC, Multithreading, PL/SQL and Oracle
• Extensive working experience in problem analysis and resolution determination of complex problems in a network environment
• Ability to work independently or with a team to develop maintains applications in a multi-tier environment.
• Extensive working experience in systems integration in an Agile environment
• Good understanding of Social Enterprise Management (SEM) and Curam Enterprise Framework
• Demonstrated leadership ability in complex projects involving multiple vendors and in-house resources within all levels of an organization.
• Proven experienced in Milestone driven delivery, developing comprehensive Project Plans, Schedules and coordinating development and timely delivery of all project deliverables
• Proven ability to manage delivery across a matrix organization.
• Excellent Client Relationship skills, representing the delivery team and ensuring that the project is delivered to commitments.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• experience in designing large scale Information Technology (IT) solutions and providing guidance to development teams
• Speaks with authority to most layers of depth related to Curam Development practices
Job Responsibilities:
The experienced Curam Developer will perform design and programming activities for a large County of San Diego project.
Create functional and technical designs for Curam extensions and configurations as may be required to implement Curam modules, workflows and rules.
Work closely with the Program Manager and other developers to refine and clarify designs as may be needed during software development and implementation.
Code and unit test Curam extensions in a Java Platform Enterprise Edition (J2EE) environment, as may be needed.
Investigate and resolve situations where test results do not match expected test results.
The candidate must be able and willing to travel based on assigned project demands throughout the County of San Diego.
