Browse Product Team The Browse Product team is the team tasked with improving and maintaining the customers experience browsing the site and activities prior to add to cart. The Browse Team has four agile cross-functional teams with their own portfolios of work including: the home page, product navigation, product details, product listings, the digital weekly ad, and sales and promotions.
The UX Architect is a key contributor in the shaping of customer experiences (phone, tablet, desktop) within their assigned area of Best Buys online experience. 6 month contract with possibility to extend.

Champions the customer and their online experiences of bestbuy.com
Under the direction of the UX Lead, the UX Architect creates documentation to detail the customer experience in support of the experience strategy
As a part of a collaborative, agile team the UX Architect is responsible for activities that inform the current- and future-state experiences including audits and inventories of: competitors, current state, business use cases, and user scenarios.
Responsible for creating the framework and annotated wireframes, sketches, sitemaps, process flows, low and high fidelity prototypes and other similar artifacts that will inform user story creation, and guide design and development.
Translate customer, business and product requirements into am effective and consistent customer experience across all device types (phone, tablet, desktop)
Help identify testing and research needs
Present in-process work to leads, key stakeholders and peers to solicit feedback to inform iterative designs and attain necessary approvals.
Contribute to a cross-functional team that includes other UX Architects, Designers, Copywriters, Developers (front end and back end), Product Managers, business partners and other key stakeholders.
Participates in user acceptance testing efforts
Skills Overview:
What are the MUST have skills that you are looking for in a candidate?
- 3-5 years or more of relevant work experience as an Information Architect, User Experience Architect or similar role
- A demonstrated understanding of user-centered design principles and techniques
- An ability to translate customer, business and technology requirements and constraints into a cohesive and consistent customer experience
- Experience with the creation of a wide range of deliverables including sketches, wireframes, sitemaps, process flows, low and high fidelity prototypes and other similar artifacts
- Proven capacity to efficiently prioritize work and requirements across multiple projects with minimal direct oversight in a collaborative, cross-functional and dynamic team environment while working to meet deadlines
What are the technologies and the depth of the technologies that a candidate must have in order to be successful in this role?
- Proficiency with wireframing and prototyping tools (Axure, Visio, OmniGraffle, Balsamiq) (Axure is preferred)
- Experience solving for responsive/adaptive web experiences must have strong understanding of how to design for multiple screens sizes, device types and customer contexts (phone, desktop, and tablet) with one solution.
