JOB FUNCTION
Candidate need to be thoroughly technical with recent hands-on experience in at least 2-3 projects.
Advanced level proficiency in his/her primary skill set (front-end/back-end) with intermediate level proficiency in his/her secondary skill set (front-end/back-end).
Ability to understand the business requirements / application issues from the user, and convert the same into technical tasks at a very aggressive pace.
Able to analyze problems and suggest technical solutions for dealing with the situation.
Able to work in a business critical environment where requirements are communicated, solutions are derived, and changes are implemented ad-hoc / on-demand at an accelerated pace, with without any major room for following the traditional SDLC.
Thorough practical development experience and highly efficient programming skills, but should not be limited to the same.
At least some theoretical knowledge in the field of design / performance tuning / configuration / deployment etc. is also required.
Strong communication skills, quick learner and intuitive problem solving abilities are a must.
QUALIFICATIONS
Technical skills: Microsoft .NET, ASP.Net, SQL, C#, Python, General Obj. Oriented Programming, SQL Server
Experience of at least 1 major project (of around 1 yr. duration) in banking and securities domain.
Candidate should have some level of exposure to financial services domain.
Good English communication skills
OTHER SKILLS:
Resource is expected to work on the trading floor-prior experience is a definite plus
Front-office exposure.
Will work with both NY and Mumbai staff; Experience dealing with offshore teams strongly preferred.
Knowledge of Credit / Spread is a plus
Experienced leading mid-sized teams (3 to 10 resources)
