Role : DevOps Developer - Amazon Web Services + .Net

Duration : 12 Months
DevOps Developer to work on multiple high priority projects providing automation development, build engineering, AWS cloud architecture and development expertise. The ideal candidate is a software engineer that has embraced and used DevOps processes in a professional setting. The DevOps Developer thinks "cloud first " and has worked to expand their development skillset to learn new disciplines necessary to automate solutions in the cloud.
Responsibilities:
. Migrate existing mission critical applications to AWS using continuous delivery patterns
. Design and automate the building of infrastructure in AWS
. Write and maintain CloudFormation templates to represent solution stacks in AWS
. Assist with Puppet code to configure infrastructure within a solution's stack
. Work with project teams to deliver the code that automates the building, testing and deployment of their solutions
. Changes to refactor existing applications to run in AWS effectively. Possibly some .Net development
. Ensure all work is validated through automated tests
. Coach other resources on DevOps and continuous delivery patterns
Required Skills:
. Experience working in a DevOps environment
. Hands-on experience building software using Amazon Web Services
. Experience working with AWS CloudFormation and the AWS API/SDK for infrastructure provisioning
. Prior professional experience working as a developer (.Net preferred)
. Experience using Jenkins and working with continuous delivery pipelines (Hudson and Bamboo would also be acceptable)
. Experience with Puppet configuration management (Ansible and Chef would also be acceptable)
. Hands-on scripting experience with Ruby, Python or PowerShell
. Experience with automated testing tools like Serverspec, RSpec, Lint, and Cucumber
. Able to produce and walk through code, script, and test samples
. Comfort working in both Windows and Linux environments
. Experience with immutable infrastructure concepts and implementation
