Role : TIBCO Business Events Developer

Rate : $60/hr On C2C (Max)

Required Skills- For both reqs, the specifc TIBCO products (BE and BW) are definitely niche, but from what I understand, TIBCO products are closed source, which means unless someone develops with it, they will have very little knowledge on the subject.  TIBCO positions are development-based roles and always require Java, but the requirements kind of stop there. They don’t need to be Java SME’s. They would’ve already had that experience if they’re TIBCO devs in general. 

Pretty much, TIBCO has a variety of different products, but there is really only 1 type of developer. Either someone has TIBCO experience or they don't. Specifically, Business Events (BE) is a web services engine so it just allows you to control data coming in and out of various sources. 

It really just comes to Java, TIBCO (BE or BW)), and web services. I’d when speaking to someone, the real key is going to be their communication. Even if they don’t have too much exposure with BE or BW, but other TIBCO products, I’d def send down.

Job Description :

JOB INFORMATION

Develop, modify, or update applications used by business units or infrastructure units. Lead, or play lead technical role in development teams' efforts to determine unit needs and business processes that are automated by the application. Assess high level design issues relating to platform, enterprise software, and interactions with other systems.

KEY JOB FUNCTIONS

• Provide design leadership in large or complex development projects involving application development, migrations, additions to existing applications. Participate in project meetings with other technical staff and business owners and subject matter experts.
• Assess and develop high level design requirements for project and communicate in writing or in meetings with development team. Assess detailed specifications against design requirements.
• Review application in progress of development to ensure compliance with overall design parameters and corporate development standards. Guide programmers/developers on technical issues.
• Develop or review development of test protocols for testing application before user acceptance. Review test results and direct further development.
• May serve as technical lead, architect, project lead or principle developer in course of large or complex project.
• May provide, or guide provision of technical support to applications currently in production.
• May mentor or guide work of less experienced programming and development staff.

Qualifications :

EDUCATION

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent required

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE

• 9+ years of related experience

SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE SKILLS

• Minimum 4 years of programming experience in TIBCO Business Events. Additional experience in TIBCO Business Works will be beneficial
• Minimum 8 years programming with Java, J2EE, XML, Web Services.
• At least 4-5 years as a team lead and/or architect of TIBCO based solutions
• Highly specialized in XML/XSLT and other XML related tools and technologies
• 10+ years of experiences in full life cycle of application/system development
• Minimum 7 years experience developing in distributed applications development (Database, Transaction Management)
• Minimum 6 years experience writing conceptual and detailed design documents, including UML diagrams
• Minimum 6 years experience in developing large scale enterprise application
