Job Description

Robert Half Technology is currently working with a client looking for a Network Administrator. Primary responsibilities include installation, maintenance and support of components of the data communications network and PC hardware and software, assisting users, identifying and resolving problems. Must possess working knowledge of Windows Operating Systems in all variations, SMS, DNS, DHCP auto-configuration, TCP/IP. Experience with Cisco Switches, Routers, Bridges and Hubs, Tipping Point, VMWare and backup operations preferred. Assist other Network Admins in network upgrades (hubs, switches, and routers). Responsible for assisting technical support as needed for performance monitoring and tuning multi-protocol networks in a LAN/WAN environment.

Job Requirements

Working knowledge of all Office System Applications: E-mail, Spread Sheets, Word Processing, Windows Servers all variations

Knowledgeable about basic networking concepts (i.e. TCP/IP, routing, switching, DNS, etc.)

Knowledgeable about basic server, desktop, hardware, and network troubleshooting knowledge

Knowledgeable about Cisco Systems (i.e. Cisco routers/switches, ASA, LAN and WAN, IDS/IPS, etc.)

Knowledgeable about Cisco VPN (LAN to LAN and Remote Client Access)

Manage WAN environment, providing WAN solutions to make network more effective

Upgrade and Patch company network system

Layer 2/ Layer3 switching and routing, firewalls, local balancers, wireless
