Job Description:

Experienced RHEL Administrator needed to round out our team
Support a very large and challenging Linux environment
Location Dallas, TX

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

Provide technical expertise in RHEL based solutions
Identify, analyze and solve problems in customers server environment
Work on complex incidents and customers service requests
Consult different internal and external parties in the area of expertise

Skills and Abilities required:

Server administration skills, including the ability to understand, administer and provide tactical operational support of complex virtualized and clustered RHEL environments and Windows server platforms.
Ability to provide Level 3 support for server operating system and clustering problems, including a broad understanding of the infrastructure environment and the interactions between the server and other components in that environment.
Ability to comprehend and support virtualized Linux server environments, including support and management of both the physical host and the virtual servers and hypervisors, including server resource allocation and management at the physical and virtual server levels.
Ability to quickly learn new concepts and technologies and transition knowledge & skillsets to new situations.
Strong analytical and trouble-shooting skills.
Professional oral and written communication skills.
Ability to effectively organize tasks, manage multiple tasks, adapt quickly to changing priorities, meet schedules, and deliver on customer commitments.

Qualifications and Experience required:

BA/BS in Computer Science, Engineering, MIS or related work experience desired.
A minimum of five (5) years server and technical problem resolution experience in a complex infrastructure environment required.
A minimum of five (5) years experience working with Linux server operating systems including installation, configuration, clustering and support (including vendor coordination and liaison) required. RHEL 5.x and 6.x experience desired.
RHEL systems administration certification desired. (RHCSA or RHCE)
Strong knowledge and experience with x86 based server support and configuration.
Strong knowledge and experience with High-availability / Cluster solutions.
Strong knowledge and experience with Satellite Server installation, configuration and management.
Knowledge and experience in RHEL performance optimization, and capacity management
Linux server virtualization experience desired, including experience managing and supporting physical hosts, virtual guests, through management GUIs and command line administration. Specific product experience desired includes VMWare and RHEV.
Experience with SAN storage technologies, including multi-pathing and thin provisioning and how those technologies are used within the server environment
Experience with network configuration
Understanding of network protocols, including DNS, NFS, SMTP, SNMP.
Experience with ticketing systems
Knowledge of ITIL model

Other Requirements:

Integrate technical knowledge and business understanding to create solutions for customer
Mentor/consult with team members, other organizations, customers, and vendors on complex issues.
Act as a consultant in service delivery business, technology, industry or specific application
Resolve technical and some business incidents independently.
Mentor/assist less-experienced team members on complex incidents
Deliver strategic account support by proactively maintaining high-level technical, operational expertise and understanding of industry trends.
