Job Title: node.js/NoSQL Developer

Location: Culver City, CA

Duration: 6 Months contract

 Job Description:

The JavaScript developer will be part of Content Ecosystem team working to develop both Node.js APIs and standalone engines to support content processing and distribution including video streaming. Our client is migrating many of their services from on-site to AWS and enhancing them at the same time, so development will be split between existing applications and new build.

The team runs using agile methodologies and thier processes are constantly adapting to changing needs. Pair programming is encouraged and test-driven development is the default. Stories are reviewed and pointed as a team.

Required:

  • Professional experience developing Node.js/NoSQL applications
  • Experience developing APIs for use in single page or native applications
  • Experience developing standalone engines using NodeJS
  • Experience writing tests using coffee script
  • MongoDB or other NoSQL Experience
  • HTML5 and CSS

Nice to Have:

  • Android or iOS Development
  • Amazon Web Services / DevOps
  • Involvement in the open source or Meetup communities
