Job Description :

Technical Experience:

  • Experience with Data Warehouse, Operational Data Store, or Data-Mart architectures
  • Business intelligence/analytics
  • Experience with Business Objects, version 4.0 and higher

Experience That is a Plus:

  • Healthcare IT software such-as EHR, EMR, or clinical applications
  • Data Warehousing
  • Agile software development life cycle methodology

Overview:

Designs, develops, modifies, debugs and evaluates programs for functional or operational areas Analyzes complex business problems to be solved with automated systems. Provides technical expertise in identifying, evaluating and developing systems and procedures that are cost effective and meet user requirements Analyzes existing programs or formulates logic for new systems, devises logic procedures, prepares flowcharting, performs coding and tests/debugs programs Develops conversion and system implementation plans. Prepares and obtains approval of system and programming documentation. Recommends changes in development, maintenance and system standards Configures system settings and options; plans and executes unit, integration and acceptance testing; and creates specifications for systems to meet business requirements May train users in conversion and implementation of system

- Key Capabilities Codes complex or high risk components

- Performs complex maintenance and problem resolution of software applications

- Maintains full technical knowledge of applications development tools and methods within a particular platform or technology; instructs and guides others, providing peer review to ensure quality assurance

- Demonstrates in-depth knowledge of technical design alternatives and the implications of each

- Develops and implements application maintenance plans to address technical and business issues

- Integrates applications applying knowledge of software architecture

- Adheres to defined programming standards, structured coding techniques and generally accepted best practices

- Tunes custom applications for maximum efficiency

- May be responsible for more complex peer review

- Accountable for addressing customer needs through individual action or with a “warm handoff”
- Proactively seeks improved relationships with customers and identifies business needs that require single-department, complex solutions

EducationBachelor's degree in related field, specialized training, or equivalent work experience. Additional Requirements Detailed understanding of full software development life cycle Extensive experience applying code management principles
