Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES:
 The client  is seeking a Network, Administrator - Windows in Carpenteria, CA.

Summary:
The Network Engineer provides current technology tools to support productivity and security standards for internal clients by supporting, deploying and maintaining the company's workstations, server, and peripheral equipment, including LAN infrastructure, data security and software integration.

Responsibilities:
Support, troubleshoot and implement hardware and software:
* Work within active directories to setup user accounts
* Configure user accounts and email accounts
* Maintain backup systems
* Support and troubleshoot issues with servers
* Install and configure desktop software and operating system
* Configure Citrix user environments
* Troubleshoot and administer databases

Handle help requests and work orders as they arrive:
* Help answer all trouble calls or emails
* Enter work orders into tracking software

Provide documentation including Visio diagrams, Inventory and IP management spreadsheets and others as required:
* Write, revise, edit, and proofread new and existing product documentation
* Provide documentation on installation procedures and configurations

Ensure the continuous availability of all data network services:
* Monitor network performance
* Replace dated hardware and upgrade firmware as needed
* Manage alerting systems
* Troubleshoot installation issues to resolve design and operational problems

Improve reliability and maintainability of hardware and software systems:
* Respond to change requests and/or bug fixes in a timely manner as prioritized by management
* Solve technical customer support problems related to the solutions developed within company
* Plan and implement security solutions to prevent internal and external threats to the network systems

*Perform miscellaneous functions and special projects as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent in technical or scientific discipline or related field
* MCSE 2003 certification required
* MCTS - Exchange Server 2010 and SQL Servers 2008 desired
* 6+ years professional experience working as a network administrator or system engineer in an enterprise environment
* Knowledge of latest versions of Windows Active Directory
* Knowledge of Exchange Server, SQL Server, Citrix, VMWare, NetApps, IBM Blade Servers, routing and switching protocols, and Windows XP and 7 operating systems
* Intermediate proficiency in MS Office
