Role : WebSphere Application Srvr (WAS) Systems Engineer

Location  : Brooklyn,OH

Duration  : 12+ Months

Rate : $50/hr on C2C(Max)

Job Description :

You will work with the Business Web Systems Services who is responsible for architecting, engineering, and maintaining Java Application Servers and other web-centric infrastructure environments including both production and non-production. Ensuring platform availability and enabling development partners to deliver business functionality is vital to the success of this team. 


- Engineering and support of the Java Application Server and other web-centric infrastructure environments.
- Design and implement enterprise class web and application server infrastructure solutions.
- Participate on project teams for purpose of implementing applications on Java Application Servers (WebSphere Application Server, Oracle WebLogic, Tomcat) and IBM HTTP Server (IHS), IBM Operational Decision Manager / Advanced Insights (ODM/AI) and Tridion SDL for web content managementRequired Qualifications Required Skills:  

- 5+ years of IT experience
- Advanced Linux knowledge
- Extensive knowledge of web and application server technologies and concepts
- Working knowledge of relevant network technologies (TCP/IP, DNS, SSH, HTTP, FTP, SSL, PKI, Firewall and DMZ concepts)
- Working knowledge of network and operating system security concepts
- Working knowledge of network administration and problem determination skills
- Working knowledge of operating system administration (Unix/Linux) and problem determination skills
- Solid understanding of Java
- Solid understanding of Web Content Management
- Working knowledge of databases and database concepts (Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, DB2)
-Experience designing highly available/fault tolerant solutions
- Understanding of distributed systems architecture
- Ability to learn new skills quickly
- Proven analytical/problem solving ability
- Highly motivated and self-sufficient
- Team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to relay complex technical information to a non-technical audience
