What is the specific title of the position? IT Talend Developer

What Project/Projects will the candidate be working on while on assignment? PRJ44357 Individual MDM Optum Big Data Platform (OBDP). In general Individual MDM is extracting from a Hadoop stack as the main point of ingestion and OBDP has dictated we use Talend (over IBM Data Stage).

IDEAL BACKGROUND: Big data experience, specifically Talend, Hive views, Pig Scripting, ORC tables.

What are the top 5-10 responsibilities for this position? (Please be detailed as to what the candidate is expected to do or complete on a daily basis)

- code in Talend to extract data from hadoop environment and send to MDM stage

- create quality rules in Talend

- execute Talend performance jobs

- tune Talend jobs for optimization

What software tools/skills are needed to perform these daily responsibilities? Talend Development

What skills/attributes are a must have? Fluent in Talend; understanding of Hive, ORC tables, Java, and Pig Scripting

What skills/attributes are nice to have? Data stage/ quality stage
