Hana DBA high level Job responsibilities:

  • 24x7 Hana DB operational Support
  • Monitoring (Performance, Resource utilization – CPU, Memory, Network, Space, Services, Alerts)
  • Database / Log Backups
  • Database restore / recovery
  • Issue Ticket Support / Resolution
  • Escalation (as needed)
  • Root Cause Analysis
  • Database Software update
  • System Replication (DR)
  • Configuration Changes (Add/Remove nodes, system, database)
  • DB Failover (HA)
  • Data Management / Refreshes
  • Performance Tuning
  • New database / instance creation
  • New Monitoring Implementations
  • User / Security Management
  • Database Audit Management
  • Capacity / Sizing Review
  • Batch Process Monitoring
  • Participate design reviews
