Job Description
We are seeking a Volunteer Coordinator for an 8-month contract in Nashville, TN. This will be a hybrid schedule, consisting of mostly remote work, but will have some in-office days in Nashville.
In this role, you will:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive recruitment strategy to attract diverse, mission-driven individuals to join the volunteer program.
- Conduct a needs assessment of the current volunteer programs, including a general survey and in-depth discussions with selected programs or focus groups.
- Identify successful recruitment strategies based on best practices from other volunteer programs, and industry standards for Recruitment and Retention.
- Identify potential tools, resources, and technology systems (e.g., Handshake, recruitment platforms) to enhance volunteer program recruitment efforts.
- Provide training and technical assistance to volunteer programs, equipping them with the knowledge and skills necessary to implement successful recruitment strategies effectively.
- Conduct outreach to colleges, universities, community organizations, and online platforms to promote AmeriCorps opportunities and engage potential candidates.
- Develop and distribute marketing materials, including brochures, social media posts, and website content, to raise awareness of the volunteer program.

Additional Information
This role will work a hybrid schedule of onsite/in-office work in Nashville, TN. This role will pay $18 per hour.
