Job Description

We are seeking several Systems Engineers with an active secret clearance for a direct hire/permanent role in Lexington Park, MD. 

These roles will work with Naval Systems through leading edge systems engineering.  These roles will be a unique opportunity leading Naval systems into the future of systems engineering.

Essential Job Functions:

Performs programmatic or technical leadership roles in an organization identifying, formulating, designing, and/or testing practical solutions to engineering problems; guiding the engineering development of modern complex systems; employing systems engineering methods and tools in the development of advanced complex systems; and, when appropriate, conduct research in applied systems engineering to advance the field. 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) degree from an accredited college or university in Business, Management, Engineering, Mathematics, Operations Research, Computer Science or a related scientific or technical discipline and 14 years of recent and relevant experience or a MS or MA degree plus 10 years of experience.
  • Active Secret security clearance.
  • At least 10 years of recent and relevant experience in an engineering position, 3 of which must be directly related to naval systems.
  • Demonstrated experience in an area of engineering expertise is required.
  • Demonstrated knowledge in area of engineering expertise is required.
  • Must have the ability to work on high-visibility or mission critical aspects of a given program and performs all functional duties independently.
  • May oversee the efforts of less senior staff and be responsible for the efforts of all staff assigned to a specific job.

Desired Skills:

  • Defense Acquisition University graduate.
  • Digital Engineering / MBSE experience.
  • Systems engineering expertise to operate and apply SysML modeling tools including Sparx EA, MajicDraw and Rhapsody.
  • The ability to develop modeling methodologies (based in such disciplines as Object-Oriented System.
  • Engineering Method (OOSEM), Rational Unified Processes for Systems Engineering (RUP-SE), Harmony–SE, Jet Propulsion Lab State Analysis (JPL SA), etc.) to meet the needs of emerging programs and the needs of existing programs. 

Additional Information

These direct hire roles will be located onsite in Lexington Park, MD.  Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship and a secret clearance is required.
