Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic Senior Software Engineer for a remote full time/permanent position.   In this direct hire role,  you will be an important member of a growing engineering team, working to develop new products for company ventures.  The responsibilities for this role are as follows: 

  • Own development projects from concept through deployment, building foundational technology for new business workforce technology products
  • Be primarily focused on the quality and pace of your own contributions, but always ready to help a teammate
  • Understand the intent of our product design and software architecture, and take initiative to bridge any gaps in realizing that vision
  • Anticipate and prevent issues of security, scalability, or quality in our development
  • Collaborate across the company to ensure our products exceed expectations
  • Maintain a relentless focus on code quality through automation, testing, code reviews, and skill building within the team

Qualifications

  • 6-8+ years of enterprise software development
  • Ability to contribute full stack across a range of technologies:
    • JavaScript
    • CSS
    • React
    • .NET
    • Python
    • SQL and NoSQL
    • etc.
  • Always look for ways to enhance your work through new tools and techniques, seeking out established best practices
  • Have a deep understanding of modern software architecture and deployment strategies (cloud, CI/CD, microservices, etc.)
  • Extensive experience with data-heavy software solutions
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical/scientific field or equivalent experience
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

Experience that is nice to have: 

  • Demonstrated ability to exceed goals in an innovative and fast-paced environment
  • Successful track record working with remote team members
  • Hands-on experience with modern DevOps techniques
  • Experience in one (or more) native app environments
  • Familiarity with container management using Kubernetes
