Job Description

We are seeking an IT Business Relationship Manager for a contract to hire OR direct hire (based on candidate preference) in Englewood, CO.  The IT Business Relationship Manager (BRM) will be a key contributor to the Business Relationship Management team; a highly-motivated group responsible for managing the engagement between the IT Department and multiple business units in an effort to deliver technology solutions that align with strategic company objectives. The BRM serves as a trusted advisor to multiple business units and provides strategic consulting as the primary point-of-contact and interface between the IT departments and key business stakeholders throughout the lifecycle of strategic IT Projects.

The BRM will be responsible for cultivating strong relationships, understanding the business value of new IT project requests, advising business partners on technical implications and solution options, IT portfolio management, and supporting senior members of the team in achieving desired results through the delivery of technology solutions. The ideal candidate has a strong background in relationship management, consulting or business development within a technical discipline. 

Qualifications

•    BA/BS in a business or a technical discipline (information systems, engineering, computer science, finance, accounting) and/or related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
•    Experience interfacing and communicating with Executives in relation to Information Technology projects
•    Experience analyzing and solving complex business problems
•    Understanding of IT portfolio management and evaluating project criteria on ROI, strategic alignment, cost savings and suitability
•    Desire to learn and continue to develop professional talents and skills that will enhance the relationships with our partners
•    Strong leadership and negotiation skills

•    Building strong relationships; excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills, including written, verbal and presentation skills
•    Eliciting and grooming well-defined problem/opportunity statements and business value
•    Interfacing with all levels of an organization, from individual contributors to C-suite executives
•    Improving existing processes and acting as a champion for change
•    Navigating a large IT department with a high number of technologies and technical disciplines
•    Facilitating innovation in business process and technical solution delivery
