Job Description

We are seeking a Scrum Master for a contract-to-hire role in downtown Denver, CO.  This contract-to-hire role will be a hybrid role where you can work remote for a few days per week and in the office a few days per week.  This role will require the ability to work onsite/in the office at least 1-2 days per week and is subject to change, so candidates who live in the Denver area or are willing to relocate are encouraged to apply.  

In this excitng role, you will be responsible for:  

  • Lead the Daily Scrum and other key ceremonies for Agile Development Teams
  • Be a leader and facilitator of team meetings, decision-making, and maturity
  • Protect and support the scrum process while getting the most out of teams
  • Lead retrospective discussions using both metrics and subjectivity to help continuously improve our team, product, quality, delivery, responsiveness, and innovation
  • Remove internal and external impediments for the team as their servant leader
  • Help mitigate risks and dependencies
  • Actively guide the team to deliver to committed deadlines

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree and at least 2 years of experience working in an Agile software development environment, comparable education and experience will be considered
  • At least 1 pertinent Scrum Master Certification
  • At least 2 - 5 years of experience leading Scrum Agile teams
  • At least 2 years of experience solving technical problems
  • Experience serving as Scrum Master for multiple teams
  • Strong communication skills including the capability to interact and work effectively with stakeholders at all organizational levels
  • Ability to self-motivate and remain focused in the midst of distraction
  • Strong understanding of capturing and interpreting Agile metrics

The following skills/experience will allow you to stand out among other applicants:

  • Have an Advanced Scrum Master Certification a plus
  • Experience in delivery as a Project Manager / Agile Project Manager
  • Have experience and a proven track record of delivering team success
  • The ability to motivate and influence a team to drive key outcomes
  • Be able to understand the Why in order to get the team to the How and the What
  • Be driven to succeed and gain mutual understanding from all stakeholders
  • Experience training teams and large groups is a plus
