Location: Thomasville, GA, or Dallas, TX (relocation assistance provided)

Full-time opening for an IT Business Systems Analyst focused on the delivery of IT solutions and systems to various business units throughout organization. This position will be a trusted advisor to the business and help to drive IT projects by working with the business to develop requirements, processes, procedures, and interface with the IT organization to help automate or improve existing systems and review current system capabilities, workflow, and limitations. This may include execution and project management of necessary system enhancements and/or new systems.

Essential Duties:

  • Deliver IT Application projects
    • Represent and relay IT standards on projects
    • Act as liaison between business and technical members of the project virtually or in person
    • Capture business requirements from multiple departmental areas that align to multiple new or existing system implementations
    • Drive business partners through planning and design to assist with documentation of functional and operational policy and procedural documentation
    • Work with business partners and IT to solve problems and projects by analyzing requirements, designing solutions, recommending system procedures, and providing end user documentation
    • Coordinate and facilitate engagements between multiple departments, vendors, and IT to promote and maintain alignment across multiple projects/workstreams
    • Facilitate sessions with business partners to capture business process flows and corresponding system data flows
    • Perform data mapping for multiple systems supporting various team workflows
    • Provide recommended approach and roadmap to completing deliverables
    • Obtain and analyze information from multiple business users to help distinguish request from needs
    • Create unambiguous, verified technical and functional business rules and requirements for multiple business areas to a testable level
    • Test, maintain, and monitor computer programs and systems, including coordinating the installation of computer programs and systems
    • Develop, document and revise system design procedures, test procedures, and quality standards
    • Provide training to end users for systems modifications or new systems
  • Depending on needs may be asked to assist with project management duties as assigned:
    • Project requests
    • Work with project subject matter experts to maintain tasks and status
    • Project tracking, reporting, and metrics
    • Issues/Risk logs (if necessary for each project)
    • Track project financials as necessary
    • Obtain the necessary project approvals throughout the SDLC
    • Project management (as necessary)

Required Skills:

  • Working knowledge of software development lifecycle (agile and waterfall)
  • Previous experience in custom software development release management
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task in a fast paced, high pressure environment
  • Proficient/Expert in MS Office Suite, MS Project, and MS Visio, Jira or equivalent
  • Ability to successfully engage and interact with both IT and the business
  • Ability to work in decentralized team and communicate using virtual communications tools (phone, conferencing, web meetings, etc.)
  • Self-starter that does not need to wait for instructions; takes actions to achieve goals; proactive
  • Experience in negotiations, influence others and managing conflict
  • Experience in facilitation skills, verbal, written, and visual communications
  • Exceptional problem solving, analytical, and project management skills
  • Ability to cultivate an understanding of what the business is trying to achieve while working with a standard technology stack to define effective and efficient solutions
  • Strong business acumen to quickly learn new business processes and understand how IT needs to support the business in achieving revenue and profit goals
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to summarize and present findings or challenges to all levels of staff and management
  • Capacity to build collaborative relationships and work effectively with key stakeholders

Education: Bachelor’s Degree from four-year College or University in related field or equivalent work experience.

Experience: 3-5 years or more in IT environment. Previous IT requirements gathering and development necessary. Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.  Business Analysis and/or Project Management certification preferred.
