Description

This is a temporary, contract assignment. Will be located on-site in Thomasville, GA.

New contract opportunity for a skilled Data Quality Analyst to develop procedures to enhance the accuracy and integrity of our organization's data. The focus will be data error detection and correction on business processes where data is collected, stored, transformed, or used. Your strong data analysis skills will ensure clean data that can be enacted upon by analytic systems and application code, thereby maintaining our high-quality standards for products and services. The Data Quality Analyst will interact with other teams to resolve data quality-related issues. This is not a Data Scientist position.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure data reliability by identifying anomalies, helping to resolve issues, helping to set data standards
  • Rely on analytical, organizational, and investigative skills in order to take on data mining projects
  • Review and clean large datasets to identify and rectify inconsistencies, inaccuracies, and duplicates
  • Running data queries to identify coding issues and data exceptions
  • Evaluating and identifying where system enhancements are required
  • Gathering data from primary or secondary data sources to identify, interpret trends, and patterns in complex data sets
  • Review data from multiple applications and perform root cause analysis on data issues and recommend data quality controls to resolve gaps/issues
  • Document inventory of current state data quality controls
  • Collaborate with IT and other teams to ensure that data is properly integrated thru the various systems
  • Develop complex data quality audits using SQL to identify possible data issues
  • Identify, assess, monitor, document, and communicate potential quality issues in the way data is collected, stored, processed, or used
  • Generate reports and provide insights on data quality, progress, and issues to management

  • ETL and data modeling knowledge is a plus

  • Ability to work in decentralized team and communicate using virtual communications tools (phone, conferencing, web meetings, etc.)

  • Experience in facilitation skills, verbal, written, and visual communications
  • Exceptional problem solving and strong analytic skills
