Clarifi Staffing Solutions is currently seeking a talented and compassionate Bilingual Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team and provide services within school districts across Illinois. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a difference in the lives of students by addressing communication disorders and facilitating language development in both English and Spanish. As a Bilingual SLP, you will play a vital role in supporting the academic success and social-emotional well-being of bilingual and multilingual students.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of students' speech, language, and communication skills in both English and Spanish.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address speech and language disorders, including articulation, fluency, voice, and language comprehension.
- Provide direct therapy services to students individually or in small groups, targeting specific communication goals and objectives.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to integrate speech and language goals into students' academic curriculum and daily routines.
- Offer guidance and support to teachers and school staff on strategies to promote language development and communication skills in bilingual/multilingual classrooms.
- Maintain accurate documentation of assessment results, therapy sessions, progress reports, and other required paperwork in compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and collaborate with the IEP team to develop appropriate goals and interventions for students.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
- Valid Illinois state license or eligibility for license in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish, with strong oral and written communication skills in both languages.
- Experience working with culturally and linguistically diverse populations, preferably in a school setting.
- Knowledge of evidence-based practices in assessment and intervention for bilingual/multilingual students with speech and language disorders.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with students, families, and colleagues.
