The Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) provides essential support to Speech Language Pathologists (SLPs) in assessing, diagnosing, and treating communication disorders in individuals. Requirements

  • Illinois licensure in Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) is mandatory.
  • Graduation from an accredited program for Speech Language Pathologist Assistants is required.
  • Possession of a Bachelor’s degree in Speech Language Pathology or Communication Disorders is necessary.
