Job Title: Speech Language Pathologist – ESY – Summer Session and/or Next School Year

Start Date: June 2024 – July 2024, August 2024 – May 2025

Caseload: Kindergarten - 12^th Grade; up to two school sites; up to fifty students. Mileage Reimbursement for travel between school sites.

We are currently hiring a Speech Language Pathologist to service our students for the Upcoming School Year.

The ideal candidate is energetic, collaborative, and an experienced speech-language pathologist. Job responsibilities include but are not limited to therapy, evaluations, IEP development, and teacher consultation.

This position will be full-time working with students in the self-contained non-categorical classrooms and general education inclusion classrooms.

Preferred candidates will have experience with oral-motor skills, childhood development, PECS, and ABA/VB strategies. Speech Language Pathologist’s provide an exemplary educational program for students with and without special needs.

Performance Responsibly:

- Conducts speech-language screenings for students with suspected disabilities.

- Analyzes and interprets information to make recommendations regarding speech-language services.

- Plans and implements evidence-based interventions appropriate for individual students.

- Provides consultative services to teachers- parents- administrators- and allied agencies to integrate speech-language goals into the classroom- other educational programs- and the home environment.

- Assures placement of students in the speech-language program and develops and implements speech-language goals/objectives on individualized education plans according to established due process procedures

Requirements

·Master's Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders

·CFY's are encouraged to apply and will be considered (supervisor provided)

·Must have the ability to apply for a SLP license in the state of Illinois and be ASHA certified.

·PEL certification required before the beginning of the assignment.
