Portfolio Manager
Classification: Exempt
Reports to: Chief Trust & Investment Officer
Summary/Objective
The Portfolio Manager is responsible for tracking the performance and information related to individual securities, recommending changes to the Trust Buy List and performing quarterly portfolio reviews.
Primary Functions
- Manage approved list of securities: track performance and information concerning individual securities, recommend/make changes to trust security lists.
- Perform quarterly allocation and performance reviews for portfolios.
- Monitor performance and risk of “model”/ETF portfolios. Recommend changes to model portfolio allocations and security selection. Responsible for rebalancing models.
- Review investments and recommended changes for retirement plans; prepare review materials for plan sponsors.
- Manage investments for portfolios.
- Execute trading of securities for portfolios.
- Meet with clients and prospects to discuss investment choices and performance.
- Prepare material for annual client reviews and track client goals where applicable. Responsible for administrative reviews.
Secondary Functions
- Create/provide information for high-touch Wealth Management clients.
- Serve as administrator on trust accounts as assigned.

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and fax machines.

The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. Work outside of this schedule may be required as job duties demand.
Travel
Minimal travel is expected for this position.
Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Strong verbal/written skills.
- Effective time management and organizational skills.
- Effective interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Word.
- Must be able to work alone or in a team environment.
- Ability to manage confidential information.
Preferred Education and Experience
- Master's Degree
- Three or more years of related experience in the finance industry, with a focus on accounting, trust administration, investments and/or banking.
- Power Point skills.
- Professional certifications such as CFA or CFP.
