Description

This new role is responsible for designing and analyzing the structural, electrical, and mechanical components of a project, ensuring that it meets safety standards, cost-effectiveness, and environmental regulations.

Duties and Responsibilities/Essential Functions

  • Designing and analyzing the structural components of a construction project
  • Preparing and reviewing technical drawings and specifications
  • Conducting feasibility studies and cost estimates for construction projects
  • Ensuring compliance with environmental regulations, building codes, and safety standards
  • Coordinating with architects, contractors, and other professionals involved in the project.
  • Providing technical support during construction and resolving any issues that may arise.
  • Update and archive internal CAD file and documents for future reference.
  • Analyze design issues and recommend corrective actions.
  • Work closely with Program Managers, and facilities team on multiple projects.
  • Produce drawing packages for facilities, project managers and external contractors in accordance with ASV Detailing Department Standards.
  • Regular, reliable, and predictable attendance.
  • Travel requirements estimated at 25%, including the need to travel to various Cirrus locations.
  • Company vehicle driving requirements estimated at 10%; must have valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
  • Completes construction projects by preparing engineering design and documents and confirming specifications
  • Designs construction projects by studying project concepts, architectural drawings, and models
  • Prepares engineering design by collecting and studying reports, maps, drawings, blueprints
  • Creates feasibility study by analyzing engineering design, conducting environmental impact studies, and summarizing data.
  • Produces engineering documents by developing construction specifications, plans, and schedules
  • Confirms adherence to construction specifications and safety standards by monitoring project progress, inspecting construction sites, and verifying calculations.
  • Complies with federal, state, and local requirements by reviewing existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; and advising management on needed actions

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field;
  • 2+ years of relevant work experience in the field of civil engineering, particularly 3D design and CAD.
  • Proficient in the use of AutoCAD, drawing in 3D.
  • Innovative & thinking outside the box required.
  • Learn new technologies and systems as required.
  • Ability to work and interact with individuals from a variety of backgrounds and skillsets.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.
  • Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
  • Knowledge of building codes, safety standards, and environmental regulations.
