CIMCO USA is currently looking for a full time Lead - Electrical Engineer to join our engineering project team. This role will appeal to an Electrical Engineer with a minimum of 5 years of experience who is familiar with electrical and control of Industrial systems. This would be a remote position with preferred location of Greenville, SC.
Role Responsibilities
Taking responsibility for understanding the electrical needs of a project
Provide electrical design, drawings, specifications, technical support and construction review for a variety of recreational, industrial applications and building services including voltage/amps specification, circuitry diagram analysis, power load charts, ground, etc.
Perform technical analysis of customer and project requirements and develop strategy to
address them
Provide Engineering support to multi discipline project teams as needed
Coordinating with project managers and other engineers within CIMCO’s Refrigeration, HVAC and manufacturing departments
Coordinate Electrical design with Mechanical systems
Prepare specifications and selection of proposed equipment and materials
Generate electrical drawings (high and low voltage) for sub-contract bid packages
Attend internal and external project review meetings
Assist with pre-sale equipment selection, electrical system requirements, generating subcontractor scope and RFQs, sub-contract quote review and proposal evaluations
Review and validate all equipment wiring diagrams
Direct and provide guidance to electrical sub-contractors throughout the construction process
Resolve electrical issues during the project and construction phase as they arise
Site visits to meet with sub-contractors at the beginning and throughout the project,
troubleshoot, inspect and assist with startup as needed
Required Professional Knowledge, Skills & Qualifications
Registered Professional Engineer (PE) is preferred
Working knowledge of Standards including Electrical, and Energy Codes
Experience with AutoCAD and Revit MEP is preferred
Knowledge of approval agencies’ processes and standards and guidelines
Knowledge of industry standards and best practices
Strong Project Management skills
Knowledge of 480V/575V High voltage electrical power distribution: device/conductor sizing & selection, application of device manufacturer ratings, UL 508A panel design, & thermal
management
Knowledge of Electrical harness design, wire schematic and wire diagram standardization
Knowledge of Low voltage controls, including sensor selection, component selection, and
integration
Knowledge of Large fans, motors, mechanical drives, motor control, and variable speed
technologies
