CIMCO USA is currently looking for a full time Electrical Project Engineer to join our engineering project team. This role will appeal to an Electrical Engineer with a minimum of 5 years of experience who is familiar with electrical and control of Industrial systems. This would be a remote position with preferred location of Greenville, SC.
Role Responsibilities
Develop electrical system designs and plans for industrial construction projects, including power distribution, communication, and control systems.
Create and manage project schedules, budgets, and timelines.
Work with contractors and vendors to obtain quotes and purchase materials and equipment.
Ensure that electrical systems comply with safety regulations and industry standards.
During project, attend meetings, submit RFIs and change orders, etc.
Conduct site inspections and assessments to identify potential issues and ensure compliance with design specifications.
Oversee installation and commissioning of electrical systems, and conduct testing if necessary to ensure they are functioning properly.
Provide technical support and guidance to project teams and stakeholders.
Prepare project reports and presentations for management and clients if needed.
Required Professional Knowledge, Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Project Management or related field is preferred.
Professional Management Profession (PMP) eligibility or working towards a PMP designation is preferred.
Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in industrial construction projects.
Proficient in using electrical design software such as AutoCAD and Revit would be an asset.
Prior relevant experience in Refrigeration Project Management is preferred.
Familiarity with industry standards and regulations, including NEC, IEEE, and ANSI.
Strong knowledge of electrical systems design, installation, and commissioning is required.
An individual with a proven track record of being goal oriented and motivated who is able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Excellent project management, leadership, oral and written communication, and teamwork skills.
Ability to travel to project sites as needed.
